Darla
I have been a commercial photographer for over 30 years.
My career began in Pittsburgh, with fashion photographer Cosmo Zaccaria and National Geographic photographer, Walt Seng. In Miami, I worked with the Ford Model Agency and Wilhelmina Models, to produce ads and catalogs for Macys, McDonalds, NBC, and more. Living in Washington D.C., my client list included the Washington Redskins, The Whitehouse, Congress, and events at international embassies.

I have been selected and published by the Editors of VOGUE, Brides.com, Washingtonian Bride & Groom, Glamour, Jewish Woman and more. And have won nine times, Weddingwire's Couples Choice Award and Whirl Magazines "Top 99 Executive Women".
"I never photograph my events or portraits the same. I love meeting with my clients, listening to their dreams. I then set off "On Safari", as I call it, to bring back the "Once in a Lifetime Image".

We can't recommend Darla enough! From the engagement photos to the wedding day photos we are extremely impressed! She braced the rain and got beautiful photos despite the elements of our October 1, 2022 wedding. She was great with time management of family photos and even acted as our body guard to get us through our busy cocktail hour space into the dinner space for some photos! She quickly returned our wedding photos in about 3 weeks and the engagement photos within a week! Hire Darla you won't be disappointed!

I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Darla, Aaron, and Ashley are some of the most personable people I've ever worked with! Darla is fabulous with communication and I feel like I've known her and the staff longer than the few consultations. Aaron and Ashley did our wedding photography and we couldn't be more happy!! I recommend them to all my friends and family because her work is so professional and gorgeous. I have never received so many compliments on photos taken by professionals until we hired them. I like that Darla doesn't pressure you into buying photo albums up front or right after the wedding and can return at any time to get them made up. Sent on 04/05/2021.

Darla was great! Spent time with her beforehand getting acquainted. We did an engagement session where she helped us get comfortable with the camera and find angles we liked. Also, had a few phone calls beforehand to iron out details for photos and go through the day's timeline to ensure all the photos were taken. She is great at making sure everyone in the wedding party followed directions and moved all the formal shots so we did not miss any of the action at the reception.
